[TFB] 3 steps to generate winning content ideas

Hey, This is Kushank aka digitalSamaritan on Tiktok/IG! Every week I write about how you can grow your personal brand or your company on tiktok.Today we’ll talk about another reason you need Tiktok, how to generate content ideas, Tiktok’s DNA, filming tips and some inspiration.

Reason #2 why you or your brand must be on Tiktok

Tango which is a workflow documentation tool has 100k+ users and most of the traffic has been through Tiktok. Most of their users have been a result of Tiktok.

I gave them a shoutout in January which generated 500k+ views (enough that the team found my video and wrote me an email saying that they’ve seen a significant spike in their traffic).

Since then a lot of creators have generated tons of traffic by sharing Tango with their audience

3 steps for generating winning content ideas

Step 1: If your competitors are on Tiktok, just look up their top viewed videos. If you don’t have competitors, just look up top videos based on hashtags in your niche

Step 2: Go through the comments and look for questions with most likes or comments with most replies (indicating discussion). Add those comments to your favoritesStep 3: Make videos on these topics! Knowing the topics people are already interested in takes out the guessing game.

Tiktok’s DNA

Every viral Tiktok can be boiled down to these 3 elements

  1. Hook → First 3 seconds are most critical. If you can retain 50%+ people to the 3 second mark, your video will go viral. Will be talking about hooks more in the upcoming weeks. You can get these analytics within tiktok. Here’s example of couple of my recent videos

  2. Value Content → It should be about the users. You must be either educating them or entertaining them. Best case scenario, do both! Use the strategy from above to find value content you can create for your audience

  3. CTA → Never hard sell. Your goal is not to get sale from the video. Your goal is to drive traffic to your profile and your profile will drive traffic to your business

Filming Tip → Have a big smile and show tons of energy.

People resonate with the energy. The more energy you radiate the more people will like you and your content :)

Here’s the Tango video I talked about earlier which got 500k+ views. I used a simple “problem-solution” strategy for this one without the bells and whistles of trends, transitions or anything crazy. I started by defining my audience and their problem. “If you’re X struggling with Y, this one is for you.”This helped me capture the attention of my target audience which resonated with the problem. Then, I just walked them through the solution which solved their problem.
